HAPPY EASTERTIDE

The Community at Brownshill would like to wish you all the joys, peace and blessing of the Risen Christ.

We had a full house for the celebration of the Easter Triduum. They were a lovely group and participated in everything, even the daily singing practices!

Last week we welcomed a new group from the Congolese R.C. Chaplaincy in London. It was great to have them with us to share the joyful ALLELUIAs of the Easter Octave offices.

This last weekend, we had the 6 monthly Oblates' Day. This was led by Fr. Martin of Prinknash Abbey who spoke to the group about "Living the Gospel through the Rule of St Benedict". His talks were greatly appreciated and it was lovely having him with us as he is a good friend of the Community. During the Mass, Annie made her life Oblate promise - a moving moment for the Community and for her close family who had joined us for the occasion. Fr Martin, in his homily, spoke of an Oblate as one who wishes to share the richness of the Community's tradition through the gift to God of the 'centre of her/his being'.
