Yesterday we welcomed back Sister Marie Apolline who had returned to Goma in early February to renew her UK visa. It is lovely to have her home again and to hear news from her of our Community there. Please keep her mother in your prayers as she wasn't too well during S M Apolline's visit.
We are now, for the next week, 10 sisters in Community as we have Sister Mary Helen, our Prioress General, and Sister Mary Stella from Hyning, with us too.
In the guesthouse, we have welcomed a wide range of groups (mainly non-residential) in the last couple of weeks, including Bishop Declan with the priests of our Clifton Diocese for their Lenten Day of Reflection.
We were almost 'full house' for the weekend Lenten Retreat led by Sister Mary Philippa. Together, the group explored Pope Francis' apostolic exhortation 'The Joy of the Gospel'. Our guests left us happy and encouraged in their faith journey.
Happy continuation through Lent - which St Benedict calls 'this holy and joyful season'.
