News from the Bernardines

Last week we started our course on the Gospels Gospels This page will give you the dates if you are interested in coming to the next talk. Sr. Michaela will put a copy of her talk online very soon. She was on Radio Lancashire Feb 6th giving an outline of the course and explaining a bit about the Four Gospels. The sessions were very well attended and by 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday it was standing room only, 34 came for the talk! Wednesday was less crowded, only 31! It was good to see such a response and we were encouraged by it. Sr. Mary Anthony will be talking about John's Gospel during the next session.

I mentioned the news of Sr. Marie Emmanuelle's profession last time. I have now put up some of the pictures of the event. Click on the links to see the Solemn Profession. She has settled back into english life very happily and we are very pleased to welcome our newest solemn professed sister at Hyning. Profession pictures

Our next card making day is on the 22nd March. Contact the bookings secretary at hyningbookings@yahoo.co.uk if you are interested in coming. It will be £10 for the day with materials provided. There is also the possibility of a cooked lunch. We had about 15 people last time and all took home some wonderful Christmas and birthday cards. This time we will look at some different techniques, including embossing and make some Easter, birthday cards and maybe candle decorating if time. Why not come and see and bring a friend. No prior skill needed!
