Monastery of the Little Rocks, Touvet, France.

The monastery is situated in a beautiful part of the Alps. At 1000 metres altitude, the plateau of the Petites Roches composes of 3 villages, St Hilaire, St Bernard et St Pancrasse. The plateau is dominated by the Dent de Crolles and is situated about 30 miles from Grenoble. The Monastery can be found between Grenoble and Chambéry. It is an easy place to meet God.

The monastery was founded to provide "Classes de neige" and the Order was helped by the asssociation of the Old Girls of Our Lady of La Plaine, who bought an old hostel. After this a small community was named in 1970. It was only in 1985 that works began to build a place more suitable for monastic life. Over the years the "Classes de neige" diminshed and the welcome and hospitality for many types of guests was developed.

At the Monastèry of Our Lady of the Little Rocks, there are 11 sisters and we are called to live together in prayer and shared work.
We assure all who come of our welcome and prayer. All the community take part in the welcome of the guests but some have specific tasks and work directly with the guests.
