The monastery is situated in
a beautiful part of the Alps. At 1000 metres altitude, the plateau of
the Petites Roches composes of 3 villages, St Hilaire, St
Bernard et St Pancrasse. The Monastery can be found between Grenoble and Chambéry. It is an easy place to meet God. |

1965 : Association of the Old Girls of Our Lady of La Plaine, bought an old hostel in order to provide :Classes de neige". 1967 : Construction of buildings to hold up to 60 students. 1970 : Constitution of a small community. 1985 :
In Juillet works began to build a place more suitable for monastic life. 1986 : Blessing of the new buildings. 1987 : Erection of the new Monastery. Over the years the classe de neige diminshed and the welcome and hospitality for many types of guests was developed. |

At the Monastère Notre Dame des Petites Roches, there are 11 sisters and we are called to live together in prayer and shared work.

We
welcome groups or individuals to stay. We offer an opportunity to pray,
to worl quietly, to reflect or to just profit from the beauty of the surroundings. CAPACITY : The guests are welcome to share in our prayer and the chapel is always open for provate prayer. There is a library for guests to use.
