Map with directions to Hyning

 BY CAR

If coming from the M6

Leave the M6 at junction 35. Take the A6070 towards Carnforth.

At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the A6; signposted Milnthorpe.

After half a mile, take the first turn left onto Borwick Lane (if you get to the next roundabout you have gone too far!)

Follow Borwick Lane to the top – you will come into the village and a 20 mph zone.

At the top of Borwick Lane at a T junction (almost a crossroads) turn right.

The Monastery is on the right, about half a mile after this T junction. There is a sign at the gate.

Follow the drive and take the right fork to come to the Guest House entrance.

If coming from the A6 North (Furness Peninsula, Kendal, Lakes)

About 4 ½ miles after Milnthorpe, turn right following signs to Yealand Conyers.

At Yealand Conyers turn left and follow the road.

Hyning is on the left, ¾ mile after St Mary’s Church in Yealand Conyers Village.

(A number of right turns off the A6 lead up to the Yealand villages and all will eventually get you to Hyning provided you turn left at the top and keep going.)

If coming from Morecambe or Lancaster via the A6.

Enter Carnforth on the A6.

Almost immediately after Tesco, turn left down Haws Hill. Pass Carnforth Station, turn left and follow the road through Warton Village until you reach the top of the village.

Hyning is on the right about 200 yds after the last houses.
